School Targets

Engadine High School is a co-educational, comprehensive high school with a Support Unit. The quality teaching framework underpins our focus of maintaining a strong learning culture.  Our value added data, that is, how much students improve in their learning from when they start at Engadine High School to when they leave, shows that students improve above the average of like school groups.

We also boast a strong performing arts program in drama, dance and music. These attributes are not directly targeted over the next 3 years because they are now an integral part of the curriculum and extra-curricular activities offered at the school to ensure a positive learning environment, and maximize opportunities for all students. We are excited about our performance in these areas.

Targets for 2009-2011

Our aim is to strengthen programs in each of the following areas and to see measurable improvement. Staff professional learning will continue to be a significant focus to ensure that students reach their potential.

  1. Connected Learning
  2. Retention and Transition
  3. Literacy
  4. Numeracy.
