Toastmasters

Each year, a select group of students complete an eight week course after school which is run by Engadine Toastmasters. Students learn about correct meeting procedures, impromptu speeches and are given additional advice on how to create an effective prepared speech.

Students demonstrate tremendous growth and confidence in their public speaking skills and this is celebrated in front of parents and staff at an evening event. This gives students an opportunity to showcase their public speaking abilities and also demonstrate the process of evaluating the speeches of their peers.

In 2009, David, Trent, Chris and Joshua achieved outstanding results. Trent will proceed to the next level and represent Engadine Toastmasters at District level. We congratulate the efforts of all students who benefit from this wonderful opportunity.
