Skilled Learning Program

The Year 10 Skilled Learning Course was designed and implemented with the future study and/or workplace needs of students in mind.

The course allows Year 10 students to make informed choices in relation to subject selection, affords them an opportunity to develop their study skills, note taking and summarising abilities as well as introducing them to the subtleties of exploring and gaining employment.

The course incorporates technology, guest speakers, mock interviews, hands on study techniques and group activities to facilitate the building of skills that contribute to the life long learning of students.

Feedback from parents and students has been highly positive because many students have already initiated further investigation into possible university and TAFE courses.
