Access to modern wireless technology
We provide a secure school-wide platform from which all students can access the school system using their own password and save onto the school server. All students have an individual student email address for secure internet browsing.
All computers are networked and every part of the school is connected to wireless technology allowing students and staff to use laptops anywhere in the school.
Specialist ICT Curriculum
All Year 7 students study Information Computer Technology (ICT), a school designed course focussing on comprehensive computer skills in a range of program.The program assists students to develop their "e-portfolios".
Laptops for Year 9
Year 9 students will receive laptops early in Term 4 which will be wireless connected and include contemporary software. Presently, a committee of staff are preparing professional learning of staff so that we are well prepared for this exciting development. 24 staff currently have the new laptops and are developing resources.
The Future - 2009
In addition, all students will have access to specialist “e-learning” curriculum and on-line assessment by the end of 2009. We are excited by this initiative as all parents, students and staff will be able to log on to the school system through the web page and view individual learning programs and assessment. Students will be able to engage in school forums and contact members of the SRC, Tech Team, E Team and the Welfare team regarding individual issues.
