Sport
It is important to provide opportunities for students to participate in a wide range of sports. We support and encourage students to pursue their individual sporting goals. Our talented and committed staff assist and extend our keen sports men and women.
Regular Sports Program
We provide a comprehensive sports program at Engadine High School. All students are provided with an opportunity to experience a range of physical activities through their involvement in PDHPE and Wednesday afternoon sport.
Knockout Teams
In addition to regular sport, students may choose to participate in knock-out teams in a range of competitions including girls and boys soccer and cricket, basketball, softball, oztag, rugby league and netball. We have experienced outstanding success in these competitions achieving in the top 3 at state and regional levels in Rugby League and Girls Cricket.
School Carnivals
Our three annual school carnivals: swimming, athletics and cross country are popular and exciting events which give students to get involved. Each year we have a high representation at all three Sutherland Zone Carnivals, with many gaining selection to compete at the Sydney East Regional Carnival and State events.

"2008 was again a successful year for EHS Rugby League. We had our inaugural Girls side finish Runners-up in the Regional 7-a-side competition. In the boys, we won the Under 15’s Mitch Healey Shield for the second consecutive year. The Under 15’s won the Sharks Knockout and were Runners Up in the State All Schools Competition as well as Semi Finalists in the Elite 7’s competition. They also won our second consecutive Mitch Healey Shield.
Our Under 13’s finished in the Top 16 at the State All-Schools competition as well as Runners Up in both the Shark’s Knockout and the Adam Dykes Shield. We had several students represent Sydney East in the Under 15’s and Opens teams; Aaron Bennett, Luke Dodge, Michael Lichaa and Jake Denford. Michael and Luke went onto to represent Sydney Red Under 15’s at the CHS carnival, with Jake doing the same in the Opens age group. Jake then went on to Captain the NSWCHS side which won the Australian Championship. Jake was subsequently selected in the Australian Schoolboys Rugby League side."
